Chocolate and Salted Caramel Cake Balls

WWhat I like (scratch that). The thing that I love the most about these cake balls, or cake balls in general, is that they’re the ultimate cake to have when you’re feeling a bit (just a tiny bit) lazy. Once you have made them, unlike a cake that you need to cut and have a plate to eat them on, you don’t need to cut a cake ball, nor you need a plate, because the cake ball has a brownie fudge consistency on the inside.

Because I am a devoted chocoholic, I have chosen to do chocolate and salted caramel cake balls. But you can have a play and experiment with different flavours. And even decorate the cake balls with sprinkles or a different coloured chocolate drizzle. Or however else you would like, only imagination is stopping you.

When you are baking the cake, either from scratch or making a store-bough cake mix, make sure to either grease the cake pan with butter, baking spray or baking sheets. Also, the cake won’t stick to the cake pan, and it will be easier to take out. It’s entirely up to which method you choose. I prefer buttering my cake pan with unsalted butter.

You can choose which cooking chocolate you use for the chocolate glaze, whether it’s white, milk or dark. I used a mixture of 2 dark chocolate bars and 1/2 white chocolate bar.
